Week-end Homework: Please work on creating images for your PhotoStory for you I Am Poetry (you taking on the perspective of a character from the Revealers). You can find copyright free images or draw your own. Or even take photographs of things around your house that will work for your photo story. If you draw your own be sure to use marker so they are vibrant enough to scan well.
Today in class:
Math: We took our inventory test on fractions. This will give us an idea of strengths and weaknesses kids still have in a variety of areas regarding fractions.
Focus Groups began today.
Language Arts: We continued to work on our I Am Poems. Students have written some pretty creative poems regarding the characters in the Revealers. I plan to share them with author, Doug Wilhelm.
Social Studies: Students did a fabulous job on their Google Tour Presentations. They surpassed my expectations!! Students are also collaborating on an Aztec presentation using Google Docs.
Science: We continued with digestions. Students should have their green pages 7 and 8 done at this time. They also had an opportunity to work on the on-line crossword puzzle re:digestion.
